Come prepared

What to
bring

All equipment is provided. Everything below is on you — and September in the Bay can throw all four seasons at a single morning.

KIT / 01

Layers

Indoor and outdoor events. A warm top for between heats is not optional.

KIT / 02

Two pairs
of shoes

Trainers for the field, lifters or flats for the platform.

KIT / 03

Fuel &
water

Three hours is long. Snacks, electrolytes, a full bottle.

KIT / 04

Tape,
chalk, grips

Personal gear only — bring your own if you use it.

SPECTATORS

Bring your people

Family and friends are welcome and free. Nothing makes the last few minutes of the final event easier than someone screaming your name from the sideline. Kids welcome at both venues — please keep them clear of working floor space and lifting platforms.

AFTER

Refuel &
recover

Once the last event wraps we eat, hang out, and pull apart every rep that went wrong. Final standings live on the leaderboard. Stick around — this bit is half the reason people come back.

Questions

Before
you enter

Registration needs both athletes' details up front, so you'll need a partner locked in before you sign up. Ask around the gym, put a shout out on the noticeboard, or grab a mate — once you've got a partner, come back and register together.
If you can comfortably hit every prescribed load on the workouts page and you're chasing the top of the board — Apex Predators. If any of it makes you hesitate, or this is your first comp — Shark Bites. Nobody has ever regretted having a great day in Bites. Plenty have regretted the other way around.
Log in to your team dashboard and email us before Friday 11 September. After heats are drawn, divisions are locked.
No judges. Teams count their own reps and a partner team spot-checks standards. It works because everyone here trains together — count honest, lift honest. Scores are entered by the organisers at the end of each event.
Let us know as soon as you can so we can redraw heats and, where possible, find your partner a replacement. Substitutions are fine right up to briefing — just tell the organisers at check-in.
